The Association of Black Securities and Investment Professionals (ABSIP) successfully hosted the prestigious ABSIP Financial Services Sector Awards 2025 on 27 November at the Sandton Convention Centre. The landmark event celebrated exceptional achievement, transformation, and ethical leadership within the financial services industry, while concurrently marking the organisation’s significant 30th Anniversary.
The gala dinner brought together industry leaders, professionals, and stakeholders to honour those driving progress and inclusivity. In a powerful keynote address, Ms Tryphosa Ramano underscored the critical pillars of ethical leadership, corporate accountability, and the collective duty of the sector to foster sustainable and inclusive economic growth.
Reflecting on the occasion, ABSIP President Ms Mohau Polo Leteka stated: “This 30th-anniversary celebration was more than an awards ceremony; it was a testament to three decades of unwavering commitment to the advancement of black professionals and the transformation of South Africa’s financial landscape. We honoured not just individual excellence tonight, but the collaborative spirit that propels our industry forward.”

Mutle Mogase received the evening’s highest honour — the Greg Boyd Award for Contribution to ABSIP. His influence on ABSIP has been nothing short of catalytic. From the organisation’s earliest days, Mr. Mogase played a formative role in shaping ABSIP’s direction and strengthening its voice within the industry. Over the years, he has remained a steadfast supporter, generously offering guidance, wisdom and unwavering commitment to the organisation’s mission.
